Valmont EVENT Pavilion

The  “Chicken Barn” was a historical chicken processing building located on the Valmont Bike Park acreage.  Though the building had not been used for several years due to health hazards, the city spent over $10,000 a year to heat the empty and useless building to prevent the fire sprinklers from freezing.  In 2012, Michael Lamb convinced the city to let him demolition the building while maintaining the structural frame.  He contacted the city fire and police departments to allow training exercises prior before the demolition.  The demolition required environmental hazard mitigation and painting the existing structural metal.

The newly named “Valmont Event Pavilion” has become a central location for events and special uses.

Street skateboarding

Events and Vendors locations

Picnicking

Future restrooms, concessions, garden walls, other events
